CHINA: Another city curbs new car sales

Another Chinese city - and not one so well known in the west - is to curb sales of new cars.

The port city of Dalian in northeast China has just approved a plan to curb sales of new cars.

Dalian is the fifth city in China - joining Beijing, Shanghai, Guiyang and Guangzhou - to restrict vehicle sales, and others are expected to join in.

With traffic congestion and air pollution at crisis levels, many Chinese cities are expected to slow new vehicle registrations.
