ZF has announced that it has completed the 85,000 square-foot expansion of its Lapeer, Mich., facility.

With the expansion, the plant now totals 160,000 square feet and will provide suspension components for domestic automakers. Additionally, it is expected to create 75 to 100 new jobs. ZF has owned the facility since 1999.

"This expansion is a key step in our chassis and suspension business within North America," said Jim Stacey, President and COO, ZF Chassis Technology Division. "It allows us to create capacity within the division and prepare for future business."
