In an interview published in German business newspaper Handelsblatt, Volkswagen CEO Bernd Pischetsrieder reveals that he is more concerned about the ongoing impact of the weak dollar on Volkswagen than the weak market in Germany.

He also told the paper that Volkswagen will react to the weakening of the US dollar by relocating more production for new models abroad.

"When looking at long-term planning for new models, we will pay attention to strengthening locations like Mexico or Brazil," he said.

He also admitted that he's more concerned about the weakness of the dollar than the weak consumer climate in Germany.
