Sales of domestically made cars in China this year could be almost double those of 2002 if first-half growth rates continue, Dow Jones reported. The news agency said that, between January and June, 842,780 Chinese-made cars were sold, up 82% on the same period last year, while sales of all domestically made vehicles surpassed 2 million units, a year on year rise of 32%, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
