Mexican auto industry production for the January-July period totaled 1.058 million units, up 23 percent from the year-ago period, the Mexican Auto Industry Association (AMIA, as a Spanish acronym) said. In July, 32,613 vehicles were produced for the domestic market, up 15.3 percent from the year-ago period, AMIA said. Cumulative year-to-date production of cars and light trucks for the domestic market was 247,842 units, up 10 percent from the year-ago period, it said. Cumulative year-to-date production of cars and light trucks for export totaled 810,530 units, up 23 percent from the year-ago period, said AMIA.
