The company sees multi-stop delivery vehicles as the most suited users

Hevo Power has come up with the innovative idea of using existing manhole covers in New York City to conceal wireless chargers for electric vehicles.

The first covers are due to be put in place in the city's Washington Square Park during the coming months, according to a report in Wired.

The company has specified resonance charging as opposed to the inductive system used by certain smartphones and tablets, and as showcased as a future technology by various OEMs including Nissan. The advantage of Hevo Power's charging method is claimed to be reduced losses during the transfer process.
