South Korea's LG Electronics on Thursday said it will provide handset systems to allow telematic services in General Motors Buick Regal and Pontiac Grand Prix models though the company didn't disclose the financial terms of the deal, Dow Jones reported.

LG's products will be installed in General Motors' cars as early as 2005, the South Korean company said, according to the report, and the systems will allow air-bag deployment notification, stolen vehicle tracking, remote door unlock, personal calling, driving instructions and roadside assistance.

LG, which also provides such systems for Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors vehicles, said it also aims to enter the European and Japanese markets, Dow Jones said.
