Tata Motors' luxury car unit Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has restructured its executive management committee to merge sales and marketing management of its Jaguar and Land Rover brands, Business Line reported.

The company has promoted Phil Popham, currently director of group sales operations, to group marketing director with global responsibility for both brands.

Andy Goss is now group sales operations director. Goss, currently president, JLR North America, will oversee customer service and global sales, joining the executive committee and taking on Popham's team. His successor will be announced later.

The company has appointed Adrian Hallmark as group strategy director. He's currently Jaguar's global brand director.

Global brand director John Edwards will be moving to a new role in the senior management team.

JLR has also named Grant McPherson director of quality and automotive safety, replacing Wolfram Liedtke who retires by the end of 2013. McPherson is operations director at the Castle Bromwich plant.

All new roles take effect from 1 October.
