Isuzu Motors is to recall over 193,000 trucks due to faulty ball joint sockets, according to press reports.

The Associated Press, citing a company statement in Japan, said the recall is on Elf model trucks produced between 1993-2004. The company said the fault may cause the ball joint sockets to crack.

Isuzu's statement wasn't clear on whether the recall would affect vehicles outside of Japan.
