New vehicle sales in Indonesia fell by 4.8% to 86,979 units in November, from 91,327 units in the same month of last year, according to data collected by local industry association Gaikindo.

Indonesia's economy is struggling with weak exports, low commodity prices and sluggish domestic consumption, held back by tight monetary policy.

Cumulative 11-month sales fell by close to 17% to 940,072 units, from 1,129,217 units in the same period of last year.
