Hyundai plans to introduce a second shift at its Russian assembly plant in St Petersburg sometime between March and May 2011, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus communications chief Mariya Maltseva said.

Hyundai also plans to introduce a third shift in 2012, she told Prime-Tass.

As a result, the number of employees is expected to rise to 2,400 in 2012 from 1,200 now, she said.
