General Motors, which signed a deal in 1999 to buy up to 90,000 engines and transmission annually from Honda, has agreed to take only 50,000 a year for use in its Saturn Vue sport utility vehicle, a GM official told Reuters on Tuesday. "When we did the agreement ... we said it would be up to 90,000. We only require 50,000," GM spokeswoman Sherrie Childers-Arb told Reuters.
