U.S. consumers purchased or leased 347,331 cars and trucks from Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, Jaguar, Volvo, and Land Rover dealers in the month of July, up one percent from a year ago. July is the first month Land Rover has been included in Ford Motor Company's (NYSE: F) U.S. sales results. In the first seven months of 2000, Ford Motor Company sales totaled 2.63 million, five percent higher than last year's record-setting sales pace.
