Chevrolet sold a record 117,500 cars in central and western Europe in the first six months of the year for a market share of 1.43%, also a record. Sales volume was up 11,500 units on the same period last year with market share increasing by 0.24% as industry sales fell by 7.7%.

In western Europe, Chevrolet sales were up 12% at 92,400 units.

The company’s best-seller was the Aveo at 34,300 units followed by the Spark with 32,000 sales.

Cruze, which is Chevrolet’s global best-seller, was its third best in Europe with 21,000 sales.
