The first Škoda Superb Estate has rolled off the production line in Kvasiny, Czech Republic.

Škoda says that the most luxurious estate car yet to wear the Škoda badge offers a 'class-leading load volume of up to 1,865 litres (633 litres with the rear seats up)'.

It comes with a choice of three petrol and three diesel engines will be available in the Superb Estate, plus manual and DSG transmissions - the same engine range as is available in the hatch (launched September 2008).

The Superb Estate is 4,838 mm long, 1,817 wide and 1,510 high - the most spacious and practical car in the upper-medium segment,  Škoda claims.

Worldwide, Škoda has delivered 33,434 Superbs to customers from January through to October this year - 78% more than it had sold over the same period last year.

Production has begun with left-hand drive vehicles and right-hand drive production will follow in January 2010.
