Out of town, the 3.5-litre V6 hybrid engine sets pulses racing, accelerating on a dry summer’s day from zero to 60 mph in a heartbeat. Some established German rivals for this adrenaline rush with a Japanese twist include the Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz SL and BMW 6-Series.
