Audi has announced details of the second generation A1 Sportback ahead of its public premiere at the Paris Mondial de l'Automobile.

Abarth: won't be present

Alfa Romeo: no stand

Audi A1 Sportback: no A1 with this generation due to only small demand for three-door cars in this segment, no diesel engines announced either

DS 3 Crossback E-Tense: brand's first electric model expected to be shown as a prototype, other DS 3 Crossback variants will replace the by then nine-year old DS 3 in 2019

Fiat: no presence

Ford: will not have a stand

Infiniti: will not have a stand

Jeep: not attending this show

Kia Ceed Shooting Brake: name is not yet official but the car will be a production version of the Proceed concept from the 2017 Frankfurt IAA

Nissan: will not have a stand

Peugeot 508 SW: the Mulhouse plant starts manufacturing the hatchback in September and this estate will be added two months later, a PHEV powertrain for both will follow in 2019, both cars have frameless side windows and are identical ahead of the B pillars, estate will have more headroom in the back due to a roofline which is less aggressively angled

Škoda Kodiaq RS: no official details as yet although there is a video and the promise of more to come on 14 June

Volkswagen: will not have a stand
