Tata Motors has announced the first details of an SUV which it will reveal in February. Inevitably, that means a premiere at India's bienniel motor show which takes place in Greater Noida near Delhi.

More information about the models named below can be found by searching PLDB, just-auto's global vehicle database. Simply click on the link at the end of this list.

Hyundai Aura: this sub-4m long sedan will share much with the Grand i10 Nios. It is replacement for the local market's XCent and HMIL's rival for the big-selling Maruti Suzuki DZire. BS 6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines will feature.

Škoda "mid-size SUV": no model name as yet although it could well be sold locally as the Kamiq, some sources claiming the name may instead be Kosmiq. As with the India-specific equivalent for Volkswagen (see below), this vehicle will be based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB A0 IN architecture.

Tata Gravitas: eleven months after a prototype called Buzzard premiered at the 2019 Geneva motor show, the H7X project will have its public premiere.

Volkswagen T-Cross: other than calling it "a mid-size SUV", the brand has not named this vehicle as the one which it will reveal at the Auto Expo. Nonetheless, it is an open secret that this will be it. While it will be longer than the standard wheelbase model built in Spain, India's locally made T-Cross will not be identical to the ones built by VW do Brasil or China's FAW Volkswagen. Like the latter two, an extended body will feature but there will be high ground clearance, unique suspension and a special platform called MQB A0 IN shared with the Indian market Skoda Kamiq.
