We are at that time of the year when people start to look a little more seriously at prospects for the next calendar year - the current one being all over bar the shouting. Sounds like the US light vehicle market is running out of steam under the weight of a slowing economy and a slower housing market. Fewer customers to go round will keep the pressure very much on Detroit. GM is changing tack strategically while Ford is making sure it can lay its hands on cash quickly.
In the short-run, November's sales numbers are shaping up to be bad for Chrysler.
