Started the week with a quick chat with Tony Pugliese in Jakarta (he's based there). He's travelling in the region later this week and said that he fancied a break and getting out of Jakarta for a couple of days as it's a bit tense at the moment. Tense? Apparently, some of the local extreme jihadis are calling for people to take pot shots at Westerners. Indonesia has been a risky place for some time, but the level of 'background risk' must be getting to new levels when you feel you may be a target when just walking around or stuck in a traffiic jam. Sobering thought.
