With roughly 50% of the market, Toyota has the most to lose from the indifference of so many young Japanese towards cars. So it has come up with a new ad campaign.

The ads might look bizarre to many Western viewers but you've got to hand it to TMC for at least trying to arrest this trend that is growing in so many rich countries, especially in the more congested cities. In short, the theme is 'Man up, get a driver's licence, get a Toyota and you'll get the girl'. And as a bonus, taxi drivers will no longer scare you. Apparently.
