I wonder how things are going with toroidal transmission (Infinitely Variable Transmission - IVT) technology developer Torotrak these days? I seem to remember they have a few development licenses out with major transmission companies. And there's a tractor deal, plus now this interesting F1 application. I wonder if the 'big one' - a high-volume light vehicle fitted with IVT - is any closer?
