Blog: Dave LeggettThe Tokyo Shimbun

I was just interviewed by a reporter at the London Bureau of The Tokyo Shimbun (The Tokyo 'Daily') - a daily newspaper that is quite widely read in the Tokyo metropolitan area. The subject was that of the Japanese carmakers' strategies in Europe, with particular reference to Toyota. I wasn't prepared for one of the questions though and I honestly had to stop and think for a second. The question: how old are you? Apparently, Japanese newspapers are a little obsessed with including the age of a person quoted - even in a business article like this one. In case you're wondering, I'm 42 (I think).
