Blog: Dave LeggettThat X90 name

Dave Leggett | 4 June 2004

That Renault €5000 car's X90 codename rings a bell somewhere doesn't it? Fortunately, we can drop the codename now and start talking about the Renault Logan, but haven't I heard that X90 term before? Why, yes I have, and I saw one in all its horrible glory on the road this very morning. I'm talking about the odd-looking two-seater off-roader, the Suzuki X-90. It was a quite monumental sales flop in export markets - it made it in small numbers to the US and Western Europe - singularly failing to appeal to its target market younger consumers. That said, I'm not sure how it did in Japan.
