Blog: Dave LeggettSourcing parts from China

Dave Leggett | 11 June 2003

Some interesting points made in a just-auto discussion forum thread concerning some potential problems associated with sourcing auto parts from low-cost places like China. I like this guy's thinking on the potential business opportunity that may exist to harness China's low-cost manufacturing environment but with design and prototype issues handled locally. Could be a big role for a middle-man in marrying OEMs, Tier 1s to appropriate suppliers in China too I think. Click on the link to see the just-auto discussion forum thread.
