How cool is this - or the idea of it at any rate? There is something weirdly pleasurable about putting your coins in a vending machine and then hearing the sound of your purchase drop into the tray where you will bend down to retrieve it. Maybe it's that split-second of intense anticipation: It's Mine, All Mine! Of course receiving a car via a vending machine wouldn't be terribly practical, even if it is a small car. But it's the association with the pleasure principle that comes with vending machines that I like.
