Blog: Saab 9-3 Sportwagon
Dave Leggett | 25 May 2005
I'm flying to Sweden tomorrow morning as part of GM's European media drive launch for the 9-3 Sportwagon and Opel/Vauxhall Zafira. After Trollhattan being in the news this week (not for altogether happy reasons, Russelsheim apparently winning the next 9-5), it's somehow a little ironic that I will be there tomorrow (100km drive north of Gothenburg). I have seen the 9-3 Sportwagon in the flesh and it certainly looks the part. In a time-saving 2-for-1 deal, we also get to drive the new Zafira around Gothenburg on Friday. Zafira has been a pretty successful compact MPV for GM in Europe, so I guess they wouldn't want to tamper with it too much. We'll see.
Next week I am travelling again - to Stuttgart for Engine Expo 2000, running alongside the European Automotive Components show, Testing Technology Expo and Vehicle Dynamics Expo. I’ve a few people to meet up with and a few events to attend. It should also be interesting to walk the show – I don’t get to components industry shows too often.
If you are going, please come along to stand 6273 where just-auto is hosting a free Internet centre. You can check your e-mail and catch up with the news. You may even find me there also, trying to keep my inbox under some sort of control.
