Ford is celebrating the 45th anniversary of its famous Transit van this year and here's a rather unusual use for the model trundling all the way from Kent to Scotland if you please.

We've been reminiscing in the office here of the 1001 uses a Transit came in handy for, mostly relating to school and university times.

And it's practically a badge of honour for any self-respecting rock band these days to say they ploughed up down UK and European motorways in a Transit before they made it.
