Blog: Dave LeggettQuestion for Sir Nick

One area for discussion with Ford’s Nick Scheele next Tuesday afternoon - on the 12th floor of Ford WHQ - will be Ford’s global footprint, or lack of it. Ford looks some way behind GM in China, is relatively poorly placed in India and almost absent in central and eastern Europe – in terms of local manufacturing (the St Petersburg Ford Focus operation being pretty small beer). That hampers sales. What is Ford planning to do about that? Is there a Ford ‘Logan’ in the works – maybe based on the three-box Fiesta Ikon? Should the Mazda brand be used to spearhead Ford Group penetration of emerging markets, especially in Asia?
