Blog: Dave LeggettMini 'suicide door'

Dave Leggett | 1 October 2007

The fuss in some quarters over the so-called 'suicide door' in the new Mini Clubman is just a bit over the top. Most of the time entry/exit access will not be an issue (the car typically being on a driveway or in a car park) and even if it is, rear passengers can still use the nearside passenger door.

One interesting point is that the needs of the RHD 'home' market have apparently lost out to the needs of LHD markets, but with the volume split the way it is (LHD 75: RHD 25) is that really so surprising?
