My phone has been hot this morning with people wanting to talk about MG Rover's latest financial results which will be public tomorrow. The BBC is already going with the 'directors putting more into their pensions' angle - allegations of a certain level of financial impropriety by the Phoenix four haven't exactly been well handled and put to bed before. It's a ready angle for reporters to get their teeth into and it sounds like there may be more grist, in some of the disclosures, for that particular mill.
I haven't seen the results yet, but whatever the bottom line is, there is also sure to be a lot of discussion about MGR's survival prospects in the media over the next 24 hours. I've commissioned a piece about the company for just-auto that can hopefully cut through some of the confusion and present a balanced view of the company's position and future prospects.
I'm starting to get a small idea of the scale of things here in China, but really, I'm only scratching the surface of this vast country....
