How would you go about estimating the size of a country's auto components industry and its growth prospects? With great difficulty may well be the answer. We've had an interesting feature in from our friends in New Delhi, Deepesh Rathore and Tilak Swarup, that describes how the consultants at McKinsey set about that sort of challenge. Quite fascinating and worth a gander for that alone. But, in addition, Deepesh points out some limitations of the McKinsey analysis in respect of India's prospects.
