I admire the professionalism of actors like Robert De Niro and others who practice what is known as 'method acting'. They really try to get into the part by experiencing some of what the role might be like in real life. Autoblog has an item about a bunch of male vehicle designers at GM being made to dress in drag so that they could experience things from a female perspective. I wonder how useful that exercise really was.
