I'm hearing some very positive things about the new Kia Cee'd (every time I have to write that word I have to look it up to check exactly where the superfluous apostrophe goes). Journalists have been recently test driving the model on a dynamic launch somewhere in Europe where the sun shines at this time of the year. 

The Slovakian-built car is said to be very European in its design and feel and will be very competitively priced to undercut rivals. And it comes with an unprecedented seven-year/150,000-mile warranty. Scary. I don't think Kia will have too much trouble shifting what it builds. It's a far cry from the days of white-walled tyres on the tinny little Pride (were those tyres serious or ironic?).
