Jaguar

Ford keeps on having to plough money into heavily loss-making Jaguar to keep it afloat and we've just had the annual announcement confirming how much. Of course, Ford spokespeople have wasted no time in telling the world that this reaffirms Ford commitment to Jaguar, pooh-poohing reports that Ford wanted to offload it. All I'll say is that the rumours that Ford was recently in discussion with Renault came at me from several different directions. If those talks are indeed now dead, maybe Renault eventually took fright at the scale of the losses and the long-haul remedial work required to make Jaguar into what it would like Jaguar to be.
