Blog: Dave LeggettJag's new MD

Dave Leggett | 2 August 2007

Change of personnel at the top of a company often has more to it than you'll glean from the official statement that is issued. Backs against the wall Jaguar has just had a change. I'll just say this. The official statement suggests that the departing incumbent has done long service and is therefore due retirement. Off you go for a good rest, is the implication. But then the next para says that the incoming replacement has many years of experience and is therefore ideal for the MD role. And the time period is almost the same in both cases - thirty years. A case of one glass half full and one half empty?
