Blog: Honda FR-V

After what seems like an eternity chained to my desk, I'm getting out tomorrow. Honda is taking me down to Jerez in southern Spain to try out the new FR-V, yet another small minivan. That is becoming a very competitive market niche now, as the makers have really piled in with product. This one is on the CR-V platform (yes, it's a truck, but a pretty car-like truck) and has a Fiat Multipla-style 3+3 seating layout - which marks it out as a little bit unusual.
Southern Spain is nice for driving although a quick look at the weather forecast says tomorrow will be overcast and just 24 degrees C (still ten degrees warmer than here though). I don't do many of these quick jaunts but occasionally it's good to get along, evaluate new products and hear the latest word on the street. Hopefully, I'll be able to have a good drive, a dip in the hotel pool and squeeze in a few glasses of the local sherry. It would be rude not to.
I'm starting to get a small idea of the scale of things here in China, but really, I'm only scratching the surface of this vast country....
