Blog: Dave LeggettHammond back

Many people in Britain will have sat down at 8:00pm last night to watch Episode 1 of the new series of Top Gear with an added sense of anticipation. It marked the return of presenter Richard Hammond following a 300mph accident in a jet-engined car that nearly killed him.

It was all handled very well I thought and the use of the accident footage - including one or two prophetic/ironic remarks made by Hammond prior to the run that went wrong - made for enthralling television. Good to have Top Gear back on the telly and its three presenters, with their curious chemistry, all intact.

For those who missed it or who are outside of the UK, you can see a clip of the item about the crash here.
