Texting and driving is becoming more of an issue and it's a reminder that whatever clever stuff vehicle manufacturers and suppliers can do on the hardware front, there are still driver issues. And that's especially the case with the young ones when it comes to texting. Here in Britain a police force has worked with a filmmaker to produce a 30-minute warning movie that it is planned will be shown in schools. The idea is to develop a story that kids can relate to and make a movie that is realistic. It should get the kids' attention if the short trailer on YouTube is anything to go by.
Gwent police worked with Brynmawr filmmaker Peter Watkins-Hughes in the production, which stars local drama students and was apparently pretty cheap to produce. Well done to all concerned.
