Following on from that last blog about product, I'm down to the Cobo today for a lunchtime interview with General Motors' VP of global engineering, Jim Queen. I think I've got some interesting questions for him - there are a few about GM's global vehicle development programme (what is assigned where, exactly?). Hopefully, how that works will be a little clearer afterwards. I'll try and get there early so I can look around the SAE exhibitors' hall (and allow for getting lost etc). And then this afternoon I am hooking up with Will Johnston (just-auto's sales director) and we're heading up to Big Beaver Road in Troy to meet with GlobalAutoIndustry.com (Ron Hesse). As road names go, Big Beaver has to be one of the best going.
