Blog: G11/G12 BMW 7 Series images appear

After so much hype, it was inevitable: official images of the next BMW 7er have appeared a few hours ahead of tonight's official media preview.
The new 35up platform promises to be a major factor in allowing some versions of the G11 to tip the scales at a lighter weight than that of the current F10/F11 5 Series. And it's fairly obvious than the new '7 will weigh less than the decidedly lardy F07, a car which, while badged '5 Series GT' is in reality a 7 Series hatchback (check its wheelbase and other dimensions).
