Blog: Dave LeggettFull marks to Nissan GB media people

Have you ever wondered how those images in some of the articles on just-auto get there? Where do they come from? It's a mixture of sources. Sometimes we can access them easily via press releases or dedicated media websites. Sometimes we have taken them ourselves with digital cameras. We've a feature for later today in which Chris Wright chats with Carlos Ghosn at the recent Nissan Canton Mississippi Job One ceremony. Some good material in the interview, but we had no pics - we only need a couple, one for the homepage image and maybe a pic of Ghosn. And I need them in a hurry. What to do? I had to ring Nissan GB press office and I was quite prepared for the brush off. I'll mention no names, but some manufacturers' UK press offices immediately launch into something like - 'Sorry, that's the US, you'll have to get in touch with our press office over there.'

But I was met with a very polite, 'just hang on' and was then directed to a website that was delightfully easy to navigate, required no password and was chock-a-block with a nice variety of easily downloadable images.

It's a small thing, but it has made one of my tasks today a little easier. Sometimes the small things count for a lot. Thank you Nissan GB.
