I was in a French eatery last night in Paris looking for somewhere showing the England-Poland football match - no-one was - apparently it was called off due to a waterlogged pitch - when the bill was presented.

And, aside from the usual amount in Euros, just underneath was something I've not seen for years, the equivalent figure in French francs.

I've just interviewed the French supplier body, FIEV, president, Claude Cham and he assures me there's nothing in the fact francs are being openly converted.

Makes you think though?
