Well, the shake-out at Ford of Britain is public now. There's the usual spin in the press release about what a great job the outgoing guys have done. But as someone said to me the other day, it's not the Ford way to actually sack executives when an elbow and shunting to another not exactly hugely attractive position within the organisation is possible. Sometimes the new job title for the poor victim says it all. And some people decide that what's on offer is an ignominy too far and leave.
