I've a trip to Detroit in a couple of weeks time. Various meetings are scheduled (people I have to catch up with and supporting a colleague, Will Johnston, on the commercial side) plus I have been trying to squeeze in a few interviews to get some overt editorial value out of the trip.
There was confirmation in my inbox this morning that I can have a slot with Jim Queen, GM group vice president of Global Engineering. That should be interesting. I've also got some time with Ford's Mark Fields which I am very much looking forward to. I'll be there the week of SAE.
I'm starting to get a small idea of the scale of things here in China, but really, I'm only scratching the surface of this vast country....
