Blog: Decks cleared, ready for blast-off

At last, I've cleared today's tasks and I can log off and sink a cold one or two. Packing can wait until the last possible moment. Ford have my presentation and I've worked out - roughly - what to ask Nick Scheele on Tuesday. Next week's schedule for Detroit looks quite full now. Ryan Tutak has just been in touch and I'm looking forward to hearing about what he's up to these days.
I'm flying tomorrow lunchtime - UK time - on BA to Detroit Metro, arriving around 4:00pm. I then pick up the Ford Taurus and hit the Motown streets. I'll be hopelessly lost within minutes, but I'll be thoroughly enjoying myself after being couped up in an aircraft for nine hours.
I'm starting to get a small idea of the scale of things here in China, but really, I'm only scratching the surface of this vast country....
