Blog: Dave LeggettChina piracy

Dave Leggett | 9 March 2004

I spoke with Mark Bursa on the phone earlier today. We chewed the fat and kicked around a few ideas for future work. One thing that Mark has researched lately is vehicle 'piracy' in China. There are a couple of notable case studies at the moment - like Chery's QQ small car which is allegedly a pretty brazen rip-off of Daewoo's Matiz/Chevrolet Spark. Anyway, Mark's going to work on a feature on the subject for just-auto which should materialise on the site in a couple of week's time.
