Blog: Dave LeggettCar that parks itself

Dave Leggett | 2 September 2003

I dare say there will be a natural market for a car that takes away the hassle of squeezing the car into a parking space. It's just another example of the way technology is making our lives 'easier'. You don't want to break eggs to make an omelette or a pancake do you? No siree! - here are some ready-made ones, just pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Sometimes they are small things in life, but something like actually making a good omelette yourself can be very rewarding. In the same way, backing into a tight parking space and getting it right first time is one of those little things that actually have a feelgood factor attached. I guess this is the relentless march of progress and the car that more or less drives itself is next I suppose.
