I am not all surprised to hear that BMW is expanding production capacity in the US. If you sell a lot of vehicles there, making them there gets you a big gain - versus shipping from Europe - in these times of a weak dollar (now, surely, a more or less permanent shift unless a global economic crash breaks out from Asia). I hope someone at Ford is giving serious consideration to Jaguar shifting some production to North America in the future.
