There's an article on relative costs by geographical location that has caught my attention. I'm not sure it's bang-on, but it does provide some welcome food for thought on the subject. The point about final transportation costs to the consumer is well made, especially given high energy prices. Just where are those final customers - in the US or in China? That final freight journey could be very significant costs-wise.
